Membership Application Process
- Company must submit a formal letter requesting the requirements for membership application,
and state their purpose of application.
- Upon receipt of the formal letter, the Committee office responds with a letter of
requirements, (CPCN or WIN, audited financial statement, proof of liability) as
well as the 1998 Joint Pole Agreement (enclosure), with reference to Section 6,
Section 3, and a request for a non-refundable application fee of $725.00.
- The Administrative Board is immediately informed of the application request at the
following Board meeting.
- Upon receipt of application fee and all other documents, the Committee scrutinizes
the financial statement to ensure organization is in good financial standing.
- At the discretion of the Board, the applicant may be invited to a Board meeting
for an interview. Prior to the interview, a questionnaire is sent to the applicant
to aid in their preparation, and to aid the members in their dialogue.
- Following the Board meeting with the prospective member, the Board will again meet
to vote acceptance/denial of the new member.
- If member has been accepted, the notification of approval letter will be sent to
the new member, with a copy of a corporate resolution, to be signed by an officer
of the organization. Included with the letter will be the First Amendment to the
1998 Agreement to be signed, and an invoice for membership fee. New members must
also provide a deposit or a Surety Bond to cover 2 years assessment (approximately
$12,000.00). The membership information sheet is included to be completed by new
members information to be uploaded on web and update Section 20 of Routine Handbook.
- When resolution, amendment, Surety Bond/deposit, and invoice payment is received
new member may then start processing JPAs.
- Account numbers and all other clerical information will be added to the Joint Pole
Database, and UserID and pass code will be assigned.
